Table Chests
Small
table-top chests of this type were considered indispensable to
the stylish in the 18th century. They are just as useful
today—making a lovely first impression in your home. No one needs
to know that it serves as a hiding place for your gloves, scarves, mail
or car keys. The possibilities are endless of course. The pictured
chest is made of cherry, constructed with hand-cut dovetailed joints
and the addition of solid brass hardware. The chest has a clear lacquer
finish.

Decorated Chest
This
chest is an accurate representation of its German-American roots.
Built of yellow pine for strength, the joints are hand dovetailed. The
chest is hand decorated in the spirit of Johannes Spitler and other
furniture painters of early America. These chests can be sized, painted
and decorated to your preferences. We offer both solid brass and iron
hardware. These chests come with one or two interior tills. We can also
add drawers to chests.
